W Seattle, Seattle
Thursday, October 27, 6-8 p.m.
Whether your dog considers themselves more of a pupkin or a droolie ghoulie, all are welcome at W Seattle’s Howl-O-Ween costume contest. With cocktails (and puptails), treats, snackies, and swag, what else could you ask for? The cutest costumed dogs in Seattle are just a bonus. While all of these dogs are winners, there’ll be prizes, including a dog-friendly overnight stay at the hotel for best costume.
Freeway Park, Seattle
Friday, October 28, 5-7 p.m.
Another costume contest? No problem! Pup’s got a whole wardrobe of options for all the spooky festivities. Come to Freeway Park’s Upper Lawn for their Park Pups Spooktacular costume contest. With prizes for winners, free treats, live music, and a photo booth, all you’ve got to bring is the canine cuteness.
Dog Yard Bar, Seattle
Saturday, October 29, 12-8 p.m.; tickets required
Say goodbye to October with one last hoorah at Downtown Dog Lounge’s Barktoberfest: Howl-O-Ween at Dog Yard Bar. This party is going to be big with caricature artists, local dog vendors, a special autumnal menu, and fall bevvies. With four different costume contest categories throughout the day, you can choose the one that best fits your pup’s Halloween vibe.
Seward Park, Seattle
Sunday, October 30, 8-10:45 a.m.; registration required
Ever the doo-gooder, your little runner’ll be pumped to show out for the Run Scared annual race benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Whether you participate in person at Seward Park or virtually at home, you and pup’ll definitely deserve all of the Halloween candy and treats after running for such a good cause.
Craven Farms, Snohomish
Sunday, October 30, 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m.
There’s being allowed entrance, and then there’s being the star of the show. Bring your little diva to Pooches in the Patch at Craven Farm—an event specifically for dogs and their people! On October 30, Fido will have the run of the farm just like he has the run of your house. All pups must be leashed, and if your tiny tot is a little temperamental or aggressive, this ain’t the shindig for you. OH—and bring poop bags (those aren’t the types of tricks we want to be leaving the poor children who will be visiting the farm later).

The only tricks you should be thinking about this week are sit, paw, and rollover! Find the most deliciously adorable Halloween treat at this dog shelter.
