10th Annual Kirkland Summerfest
Marina Park, Kirkland
Friday, July 29, 4–11 p.m.; Saturday, July 30, 12–11 p.m.; Sunday, July 31, 12–6 p.m.; tickets required
The Tiki Adventure is about to begin, so get ready to sample all the brewskies with your awooskie. Kirkland Summerfest kicks off with the Sails & Ales Beer Fest, a 21+ three-day event featuring craft beer, food trucks, and the Eastside Beer Week award ceremonies. Woofer is welcome to join everywhere at the festival, except for in the Tasting Garden. Wear your best tacky tiki shirt for a shot at a prize—don’t let pup down! A ticket to Sails & Ales also gets you into Sip Kirkland. Bow-wow, the fun just don’t stop!
Marina Park, Kirkland
Friday, July 29, 8–11 p.m.; tickets required
After tryin’ the tap list, stick around to hear Long Live Rock jam to all the most epic anthems. Doors for the concert open at 5 p.m., so you’ve got 3 hours to check out the festival goodies before Long Live Rock and DJ A.S.I.A hit the stage. Pup better be down to boogie-woogie all night; if dance fuel is needed, food trucks are close by and smell mighty good. Pups are welcome at this 21+ event, but if your party animal doesn’t do crowds or loud noises, maybe skip this trip.

Beer isn’t for everypuppy, so for the Merlot mutts out there, we got you boo! Sniff out Sip Kirkland Saturday and Sunday to sample over 100 Washington wines. Okay, maybe you can’t physically sample them all, but ur Wine-araner can help you pick a few good ones. Sip some wines and browse loads of local arts and crafts. Since you’ll want to try more wines, and pup’ll want some noms, hitting up the food trucks is prob a good plan. Your ticket to Sip Kirkland also gets you into Sails & Ales, so keep the drinks coming—responsibly, says your DD (dedicated doggo).
Marina Park, Kirkland
Saturday, July 30, 8–11 p.m.; tickets required
Your pup wasn’t around during the decade of hair bands, but that won’t stop his tail from waggin’ during the Live 80s New Wave concert. Doors open for the show at 5 p.m., so you and pup have plenty of time to dust off those dancing paws before Nite Wave and DJ Indica Jones take the stage. They’ve got the tunes, the brews, and the foods; is there anything this concert doesn’t have? Pups are welcome, but this 21+ event is heckin’ crowded and loud so consider leaving shy floofs at home.
Marina Park, Kirkland
Sunday, July 31, 3 p.m.; tickets required
Think the concerts are done? Think again, puppo! Close out a pawesome packed weekend with a live performance by The Whirlies and DJ Kourosh. Doors for the concert open at 12 p.m., which gives you lots of time to visit the vendors in the street food market for nibbles before dancing. This 21+ event is pretty loud and crowded, so it’s only recommended for pups that can handle it. Dare we say even the most energetic pup may need a nap after this weekend!
Other Things to Do Near Seattle This Weekend
Domanico Cellars, Seattle
Thursday, July 28, 7–9 p.m.; registration required
Get together 6 hoomans because play or not, pup likes to win! Trivia Night at Domanico Cellars is FREE this Thursday so grab your players and share a laugh, a wine slushie, and a belly rub for your best fren. No one is smarter than your floof which is why Domanico Cellars has expressly stated, “Dogs, because they are angels sent from above, do not count toward team limits.” Buy a glass of wine, beer, cider, etc., to drown out pup’s sighs when you answer a question incorrectly. Small bites are available at the winery, but for empty stomachs, it’s BYOF, so don’t furget pup’s fave snaccos.
2. Farmers Market with the Fur Babe
If concerts and trivia aren’t pup’s vibe, that’s totally cool. Why not plan a chill day of hunting down local goodies with a trip to the Magnolia Farmers Market this Saturday from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. instead? This one-block farmers market is bustling with pups and pawrents to meet, loads of fresh produce, and a few sweet treats worth a sample. If one and done ain’t the move, hit up Capitol Hill Farmers Market on Sunday from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. for loads of local veggies, fresh cut flowers, and artsy-craftsy finds. Don’t furget to grab pup some treats for helping you with ur shoppin’.
