Winter is coming…and you don’t have to live in the Seven Kingdoms to feel that angst! And it’s snow party unless Fido makes an appearance. Luckily, Seattle-area restaurants have you (and your pup) covered with heated Seattle patios for this wet, cold season.
Note: We’ve confirmed that all these patios are still open and heated as of this posting! Please keep dogs on leash and clean up any messes they leave behind.
1. Brimmer and Heeltap
Bar, restaurant, AND coffee shop—all with a dog-friendly, heated patio? Brimmer and Heeltap truly has it all. It operates as Red Arrow Coffee by day (7 a.m.–1 p.m.) and Brimmer and Heeltap restaurant by night (Thursday thru Sunday from 5–9 p.m.).
2. Limoncello – Belltown
You know what else comes with Seattle fall and winter? Seahawks games! If you absolutely need to get out of the house to watch, try Limoncello in Belltown. You can bring your decked out dog to their front patios, which are toasty thanks to atmospheric lights, space heaters, and (drumroll) an outdoor TV.
3. Super Six
Super Six has a massive streetside tent that takes up the entire parking lot next door to the Asian fusion hotspot in Columbia City. You and your fluffer can order via QR code to further minimize contact. Not exactly a patio paw se, but gets the job done!
4. Reckless Noodle House
If you’re like us, you like your noodles RECKLESS! Try Reckless Noodle House. This Asian-fusion noodle house is the perfect spot to warm up on the inside with a bowl of vermicelli or soup while staying cozy outside on their covered outdoor space. While noodles take center stage in the name, the cocktail menu is the hidden star in this atmospheric hang.
5. Humble Pie
This pizza joint in the International District mastered the open-air concept loooong before the pandemic! While many scrambled to adjust outside, there was no pivoting needed for Humble Pie, which has always boasted a “picnic table compound.” Nothing has changed here: still great pies, warm exterior, and–if you’re lucky–you might get a table next to the chicken coop!
6. Oddfellows
This place has got ya covered from coffee to cocktails and all the treats in between. Oddfellows Cafe and Bar serves up Italian and French-inspired dishes and housemade baked goods with a side of quality time with your pup. Oddfellow’s heated outdoor patio allows you and pupper to enjoy the twinkle-lit atmosphere from morning to night. They say you do have to go home after close though…bummer.
7. Taco City
When it’s cold and you want something caliente, tacos it is! Taco City’s dog-friendly heated patio and authentic Mexican menu really turn up the heat. We recommend the carne asada taco, and pup would recommend you drop it on the ground. Don’t worry, she’ll clean it up for ya.
Any of these heated patios in Seattle on your fren’s agendog this weekend? Give us a howl in the comments and don’t forget to tag #SidewalkDog!
