1. Roscoe Village Burger Fest
Roscoe Village, Chicago
Friday, July 15, 5–10 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday, July 16–17, 11 a.m.–10 p.m.; $10 suggested donation
Get ready to relish the weekend and ketchup with your best pup at the Roscoe Village Burger Fest. Explore 10+ burger vendors (be sure to drop a nibble or two “by accident”) and jam to live music. The event has a special dog zone with an agility course, a cooling zone, and treatos! Bone appétit!
2. Tacos y Tamales Festival
S Peoria St. & W 16th St., Chicago
Friday, July 15, 5–10 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday, July 16–17, 12–10 p.m.; donations suggested
Bring a Mastiff apuptite down to Pilsen all weekend long for the annual Tacos y Tamales festival. Food, music, art, shopping, more food—what’s not to ruv? This hoppin’ festival is best for crowd-agnostic dogs or pooches you can pick up and carry to navigate the busy streets.
7th District Chicago Police Department, Chicago
Saturday, July 16, 10:30 a.m.–4 p.m.
We all know pet care can be heckin’ expensive. Fur those in a little need of assistance, head to the Free Chicago Pet Health Fair this Saturday. Organizers will be helping with vaccines, microchips, and pet food for the first 500 pets or until supplies run out. There are no residency restrictions, so come one, come everypuppy! Just make sure dogs are leashed and cats are in carriers. Bring a chair and plenty of water to stay cool.
Beck Lake, Des Plaines
Saturday, July 16, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.
Start your Saturday off right by spending the morning at the Forest Preserves of Cook County. Their “Dog Days of Summer” event is basically pupper summer camp, so you know it’s gonna be the cutest thing EVER. Activities range from doggy paddling (bring your own flotation device) to paw print painting. It sounds pawsitively delightful!
Wicker Park, Chicago
Sunday, July 17, 8 a.m.–2 p.m.
Nothing sets your week off on the right paw like loading up on fresh produce and snaccos at a farmers market. The Wicker Park farmers market is especially up to snuff cuz they offer an array of baked goods, fresh cheeses, meats, colorful flowers, and more. Woof about livin’ your best life.

A.R.F. – Animal Rescue Foundation
- Get out of the hustle & bustle and into the paws of somepuppy who ruvs you! A.R.F. will be at the PetSmart in Wheaton on Saturday, July 16, from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. with adorbs adoptable pups looking for their furever homes.
