The Denver Oktoberfest has been a staple two weekend festival in Downtown Denver since 1969. That’s 371 years… in dog years! From keg bowling to stein hoisting, live music and more, there’s something for everypuppy. Admission is free, so grab your stein, throw on your lederhosen, and celebrate!

Is your hound a history buff? Welby Days is an historic community event that dates back to the 1940s when local farmers would celebrate the annual harvest. Check out the more than 70 vendors, a car and tractor show, artists and artisans, live performances, local produce, fall flowers, and food trucks.
West Arvada Dog Park, Arvada
Saturday, September 17, 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Sure, pup wants to hang with you all weekend, but she would also love to sniff out a few of her own kind! This Sunday is the pawfect opportunity to meet new frens at Bark in the Park. There’ll be free samples, info from local dog-friendly businesses, West Arvada Dog Park swag available for purchase, and tail wags galore.
Belmar Park, Lakewood

After hosting a virtual event for the past two years, this dog-friendly 5K is back in person! It’s an important fundraiser for Rocky Mountain Lab Rescue, and a ton of fun for hoomans and pups alike. Walk or run through beautiful Belmar Park, then stick around to mingle with frens and sponsors.
Western Sky Bar & Taproom, Englewood
Sunday, September 18, 12–1 p.m.
Does your dirty dog need a good scrub? It’s as easy as sipping on a cold brew—seriously! Make your way to the Western Sky Bar & Taproom on Sunday at noon for their Mobile Dog Wash. A small donation to the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley gets you a clean canine while you relax and order off the delicious menu of bevvies and snacks.
The Shed at Midtown, Denver

Floof says you’ve got a paycheck to burn, and he’s lookin’ for something as unique as he is. Head to the Denver Makers Market to browse beautiful creations from local artisans, crafters, and vendors. Sign up to attend (free!) and be eligible for a grand prize giveaway featuring items from the makers. Get there early—the first 50 pre-registered customers get a bag of goodies at check in.
