Things to Do Near Minneapolis This Weekend
Unleashed Hounds and Hops, Minneapolis
Thursday, September 22, 4–8 p.m.
Bring your pupsqueak out on the town to eat and drink for all things good! Unleashed Hounds and Hops is donating 10% of all grub and bevy sales to Grey Face Rescue & Retirement. Come to support a dog rescue, stay for all the fun—pup’s gonna ruv this indoor dog park.
Van Valkenberg Dog Park, Edina
Saturday, September 24, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Gather your pack and pounce over to Edina for some Saturday shenanigans. From the pupper treats and doggy market, to shaking paws with foster doggos, there’s pawlenty to doo! Shop numerous dog-related vendors offering raw foods, specialty treats, blankets, pet portraits, pet care services, and more. Party guests are welcome to try out the fully fenced off-leash dog park for free during the event, as long as their pooch is licensed.
Luce Line Brewing, Plymouth
Saturday, September 24, 12–10 p.m.
It’s beer o’clock at Luce Line this weekend as they celebrate Oktoberfest. We barkin’ all about this free event that features live music, food trucks, and specialty beer releases including the Oktoberfest release and an Extra Foggy Hazy IPA. Ceremonial tapping of the newly released keg starts at 4 p.m. by Plymouth Mayor Jeff Wosje and Deputy Mayor Ned Carroll. The Oktoberfest games will begin around 5:30 p.m. Pup’s never gonna wanna go home!

Calling all furry frens! We’ve got the scoop on a celebration of assistance dogs and the people who need them. This outdoor family-fun event includes live music, a dog costume contest, dog-centric vendors, assistance dog demonstration, activities, prizes, a one-mile walk, and more.

Say cheese this weekend with this fall-themed photoshoot opp! We’re talkin ‘bout a professional photo of you and your furry bestie for just $25, which goes towards the Rescue Network’s mission of strengthening under-served communities by providing resources and support to animals.
