Things to Do Near Minneapolis This Weekend
Swanson Dog Park, Blaine
Thursday, August 18, 5–7 p.m.
Kick off the weekend early by popping up to the north metro with pup to Blaine’s Bark in the Park. From the Pup-arazzi photo booth and drool-worthy food trucks, to the dog-focused market, there’s pawlenty to doo! Floof can shake her paw paws to music by The Backyard Band. They are even offering nail trimming services and free dog licenses are available with proof of vaccination. Arrive early to be one of the first 200 attendees to receive a free giveaway.
Unleashed Hounds and Hops, Minneapolis
Thursday, August 18, 4–8 p.m.
Bring your pupsqueak out on the town to eat and drink for all things good! Unleashed Hounds and Hops is donating 10% of all grub and bevy sales to Underdog Rescue. Come to support a dog rescue, stay for all the fun—pup’s gonna ruv this indoor dog park.
Don’t want to end the weekend just yet? Come back on Saturday from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. for their MLPS Pet Market. You can get those paws on goodies from local vendors bc we both know pupper loves to shop.
Bauhaus Brew Labs, Minneapolis
Sunday, August 21, doors open at 7 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m., tickets required
Got the Sunday scaries? Pounce over to Bauhaus for a night of laughs. Three hilarious comedians will be servin’ up giggles at this stand-up comedy event. Sip on their crafted brews and get your paws on tasty treats from one of the surrounding establishments like Mom Sushi, Parkway Pizza or Chimborazo (hello empanadas!). Pups are welcome on the patio or inside the brewery.
Things to Do Near St. Paul This Weekend
1. Live Music at Keg and Case
Keg and Case, St. Paul
Thursday–Saturday, August 18–20, 7–9 p.m.
Keg and Case has been jamming all summer with local musicians and this weekend is no exception. Between the lively dog-friendly patio, cozy outdoor seating, brews served by Clutch Brewing Co., and their bustlin’ maker’s market, pup’ll be beggin’ to come back. Check out the locally-stacked music line-up here. It’s a free event open to pups and peeps of all ages. It’s the pawfect way to enjoy community and patio season this weekend!
3rd St. & Pine St E, Stillwater
Saturdays, 7:30 a.m.–1 p.m.
Gather those tote bags and leash up for a Saturday morning stroll at the Stillwater Farmers Market. Bring your furry bestie along to sniff out local produce and handmade goods. Pup’ll even find locally made dog treats from Sara’s Tipsy Pies! Don’t furget your non-retractable leash and stash of poo bags.

Ruff Start Rescue
- Pounce on over to the Anoka Food Truck Festival to grab some grub and shake paws with adoptable animals from Ruff Start Rescue. Fosters will be strutting around Saturday, August 20 from noon–10 p.m. This free event also features over 45 food trucks with global fare, fashion/clothing trucks, vintage record truck, photo booth truck, and more activities, including life-size Jenga, a mechanical bull, bean bag toss, henna tattoo artists, and a psychic tarot reader. So much to doo, so little time!
