Let’s face it: After over a year of working from home with pup, the honeymoon phase is over. Your dog is getting wary of your same ol’ routine and maybe even starting to see you as the overlord Dwight K. Shrute of her domain. Yikes! Simply put: she’d love a change of scenery, socializing with someone other than Marty the mailman, and for you to start showering and wearing real clothes again. From classic coffee shops, to a brewery, to co-working spaces, here are 7 dog-friendly places with WiFi in Denver where you can work with your collie-gue.
1. Stella’s Coffee
Nestled on Pearl Street, Stella’s Coffee features an artsy-hip, yet down-to-earth vibe, local art, and spacious dog-friendly front and back patios with plenty of shade. Pup’ll be pampered with pets and free treatos. We recommend treating yo’self with an almond croissant or walnut bread. Night owl? No problem, the show’s open until 10 p.m.
2. Improper City
Feeling more like a cocktail than coffee? Or perhaps you want both and to munch on some pub fare? Several members of our Dog-Friendly Denver Facebook Group recommended working at Improper City. This RiNo large-scale taproom and coffee bar features a 12,000-foot dog-friendly patio with astroturf and dog bowls for your fren’s comfort. In fact, Improper City loves pups so much, they have branded bandanas for your stylish pooch. Bonus: Get a FREE beer with our Dog-Friendly Brewery Pass.
3. Green Spaces
Looking for a bona-fide co-work space where you and pup can put your nose to the grindstone, but also mingle over coffee? Located in RiNo, Green Spaces offers day passes and monthly rentals for lounge table-style shared workspaces, cubicles, offices, and conference rooms. Bonus points: this space is powered by solar panels, features plants, and has plenty of windows for pup to lay in the sun.
4. Wash Perk
Take pup on her morning stroll around Washington Park’s gorgeous lakeside paths, sniff the flower gardens, and soak in mountain panoramas before hunkering in for work at Wash Perk. This neighborhood coffee shop features a cozy ambiance and a shaded dog-friendly patio. With an impressive, bountiful coffee and tea selection, Wash Perk’s a definite Denver staple.
5. Highlands Cork & Coffee
Highlands Cork & Coffee is such a popular spot for doggos, afternoons are known as “puppy hour.” Their roomy patio boasts water bowls, complimentary treats, partial shade, and social time for pup. Meanwhile, hoomans will love their selection of coffee, wine, breakfast foods, and paninis (including vegan and gluten-free options). Early risers will also appreciate their 7 a.m. opening.
6. Aviano Coffee at Cherry Creek North
Trendy woofs will dig the chic atmosphere of Aviano Coffee at Cherry Creek North outdoor mall. This shop serves up drool-worthy gourmet espresso drinks with fancy latte art, direct trade coffee beans, and pastries. Patrons ruv their covered patio, which is perfect for sprawling out for work and people watching. If you need a break, strut your stuff around the Cherry Creek shops.
7. Alchemy Creative Workspace
Cozy up in the Baker/Wash Park West’s Alchemy Creative Workspace. Along with traditional cowork space options like private office spaces, dedicated desks, suites, free coffee and tea, Alchemy also boasts kombucha, seltzer, an on-site yoga studio, and easily accessible parking. After work, you and pup can have a fun night on the town exploring Baker.
