We know it’s not drinking alone if you’re drinking with your dog, but what’s pup sipping? Your boozehound can enjoy a mocktail even if she’s not 21 in dog years yet. So bottoms pup; let fren enjoy these mocktails for dogs bc it’s 5 o’clock somewhere (and she can’t tell time anyway).
All you need for these recipes is to toss a few ingredients into a blender, pulse until frothy, and serve to your pawsitively excited taste tester.
1. Pup-kin Spice Latte
We consider it a fall treat, but pumpkin is a super healthy snack for your pup to enjoy yearround. Make ‘em this pup-kin spice latte and assure them they aren’t basic for indulging.
- 4 tablespoons coconut milk
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- Sprinkle of ground cinnamon
- Whipped cream for topping (optional)
2. Paw-termelon Margarita
Hydration is important, and nothing does it better than watermelon. No sweet drink needed for this sweet marg!
- 1 cup frozen, seedless watermelon cubes
- 2 tablespoons light coconut milk
3. Cantaloupe Cooler
Your dog’s pretty cool, but imagine how much cooler she’d be while sippin’ on this drink. You won’t be hearing any nopes for cantaloupe.
- 1 cup frozen cantaloupe
- 1/2 cup nonfat yogurt
4. Strawberry Dog-quiri
Your dog has a question, a query, you might say: whose face does he have to lick to get another one of these dog-quiris in his paw?
- 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup coconut water
- 1 teaspoon plain greek yogurt
5. Paw-nana Smoothie
Everypuppy loves a smoothie, and we’re pretty sure your dog will go bananas over this one!
- 3/4 cup frozen banana slices
- 2 teaspoons plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup coconut water
6. Berry Mojito
No blender? Try this mojito recipe that your pup will give four paws up. For a hot day, freeze and let your dog lick it for some enrichment!
- Additive-free sparkling water
- 3 halved strawberries
- 10 blueberries
Whether your pup’s had a hard day at the office or it’s time for a D.N.O. (dogs night out, duh), there’s a mocktail for every occasion. Just like with the real thing, mocktails for dogs are best served in moderation—a cup should be the perfect amount without upsetting any tummies, plus everything extra can be refrigerated for another day!
