Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary is a place where animals from different species meet and bond. Juliana Castaneda, the sanctuary’s founder, lives in Columbia. She’s currently doing a study about the stray dogs in her area. She wanted to know how many dogs are there to understand the situation of the animals.
One day, while Juliana’s walking on the street, she came across a litter of abandoned puppies. She saw the puppies drinking milk from a bowl, but since she didn’t know the real situation, she went home, leaving them in the meantime.
However, Juliana couldn’t sleep that night. She kept thinking of the abandoned dogs, and she can’t help but feel scared for the puppies. That’s why the first thing the next day, she immediately get out of bed and checked if the puppies are still in the place where she found them.
Luckily, the poor pups are still in the same spot, and she’s able to find out where they lived. After Juliana’s research, she found out that the puppies belonged to an owner who already had dogs. The owner didn’t care much about the poor little dogs. When Juliana learned more about the sad situation of the puppies, she adopted them instead.
She took the puppies to the United States with her, hoping to find them a home. Unfortunately, she wasn’t able to find a home for one of the puppies, but what she didn’t know is that the puppy’s going to have the best life soon after! She named the puppy Sri Ram, and he met Bernie, a resident cow in the sanctuary. Bernie has a sad past as well, but he found a home in Juliana’s Animal Shelter.
When Sri Ram and Bernie first saw each other, they immediately become friends! They would spend a lot of time with each other and play all day. Since they’re both kids, their friendship is more meaningful as it started early.
Even if they’re from different species, it’s clear that they love one another. It’s heartwarming to know they’re able to find a home where people care and love them so much.
