Things to Do Near Minneapolis and St. Paul This Weekend
Solar Arts Building, Minneapolis
Saturday, December 3, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
Still need the pawfect photo for your holiday card? This family and furry-friendly event is your opportunity to snap that picture while also raising money for Safe Hands Animal Rescue—now that’s something to bark about! Photos with Santa Claus are $25, which will feature seasonal arrangements provided by Bachman’s. Shy pups are recommended to arrive between 11 a.m. and noon, before the neighboring businesses open.
Lowell Park, Stillwater
Friday, December 2, 6–9 p.m. and Saturday December 3, 4–5:30 p.m.
‘Tis the season for holiday lights, sights, and sounds. This pup-friendly downtown feels just like a Hallmark movie. Take floof to the Twinkle Party, where Stillwater kicks off their month-long Hometown for the Holidays festivities. Pounce over on Friday to enjoy sounds of Victorian Carolers or on Saturday to celebrate the official Christmas Tree lighting in Lowell Park. Rumor has it Santa may even make an appearance around 4:30 p.m.
HeadFlyer Brewing, Minneapolis
Saturday, December 3, 12–6 p.m.
Calling all the good boys and good girls with paws… Santa Claus is coming to town! Santa will be making a stop at HeadFlyer Brewing this Saturday for free photo opps with your furry bestie. Grab a pint with the pupper, say cheese, and then pop over to the holiday market featuring local makers to get some of your howliday shopping done. Sounds like a doggone good time!
Loring Park, Minneapolis
Sunday, December 4, 3 p.m., registration required
It’s that time of year again! The Holidazzle is back for another sparkly season and pupper is invited to join the fun. Don your best holiday getup and strut your stuff at this pet costume contest for a chance to win a Holidazzle gift basket and money for a MN animal rescue of your choice. The first 100 people through the door will receive some swag, too! Come for the contest and stay for the free photos with Santa, a brew in the Fulton Beer Garden, and some holiday shopping. Contest spots are limited, so reserve pup’s spot here!
Indoor Zoomies, Minnetonka
Sunday, December 4, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.; registration required
There’s a new kid on the block in the west metro… an indoor dog park for all those suburban pups looking for new digs! Doggo loves being with you, but sometimes he just needs to frolic with frens his own size. This location is exclusively for small dogs 30 pounds or lighter. Get your paws on a daily pass and check out their soft opening this weekend. There’s no doubt floof will be beggin’ for you to buy her a pass pack to use throughout the month after her first visit. Vet records are required for pupper to play.
