Golf ruvers rejoice—some courses allow you to bring your furry frens along to tee time. Read on to sniff out some dog-friendly golf courses.
Before You Bring Your Dog to the Golf Course
If you’re planning to bring pup along to the course, make sure to do these things first:
- Make sure dogs are allowed. Dog-friendly golf courses don’t always advertise their pup-friendly status, so check the golf course’s website or bark up their phone line to confirm before you go.
- Consider doggo’s behavior. Will pup have a good time, or will he disrupt other guests?
- Know the rules for dogs. Are leashes required for dogs at all times? Are dogs allowed on the green, or do they have to stay in the golf cart? Are there designated potty areas?
- Think through your safety plan. You don’t want floof anywhere near you while teeing off. Where will pup sit while you swing? Do you have a plan for keeping your BFF nearby but out of harm’s way?
- Pack a doggy bag. Don’t forget fresh water, treats, toys, and poop bags so puppo can have as much fun as you!
