Pints and Pups, Everett
Friday–Sunday, August 5–7, 12–10 p.m.; pup fee required
Your brewski awooski thinks it’s too hot, so maybe y’all should grab a pint of beer and bowl of water to cool off. Sounds like the South Everett PUP Crawl is just the thing! Five pubs, three days, and your best friend—now that sounds like a grrreat weekend. Start at Pints and Pups to pay your pup fee, then head to Crucible Brewing, Lazy Boy Brewing, Middleton Brewing, and Soundbite Cider. If you hit all 5 during the weekend, you get a souvenir pint glass.
Lake City Neighborhood, Seattle
Saturday, August 6, 10:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood is celebrating summer, and your doggo is one of the main events. This Saturday, you and pup can enjoy a block party serving up the works including all-day music, a car show, an emporium of local crafts and artists, and—mutts importantly—food! Plus, all the festivities culminate in a doggy parade! Okay, so technically there is also a regular grand parade, but there’s a dog parade at Hellbent Brewing Company at 6 p.m. first where you can leash up and strut down the street with other puppers. No registration required.
901 Broadway, Tacoma
Saturday, August 6, 1–8 p.m.; tickets required
Got a PNW pup with an appreciation for local beer? Then boy, are you lucky to have such an expert to go with you to Brew Five Three, Tacoma’s beer and music festival! Taste samples from over 40 local beers, ciders, and loads of local food trucks. An all-day pass ($72.75) gets you 10 tasting tokens and a souvenir pint glass. If you’re chauffeuring pup home, the designated driver pass ($10.75) includes free water and soda.
Dirt Fish Rally School, Snoqualmie
Sunday, August 7, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.; tickets required
The Northwest’s biggest Subaru enthusiast event wouldn’t be complete without your DD (darling doggo). Get pup ready for a day of yard games, a scavenger hunt, a door prize drawing, cars, cars, and more cars! Your zoom machine can say henlo to loads of other car fans and puppos, and will enjoy chillin’ in the dog area—complete with astroturf and loads of water. This whole event is mega dog-friendly, but maybe avoid the exhaust competition if your pup doesn’t like loud noises (cuz the loudest car wins).
5. Ice Cream Cruise ‘N More
Want more ways to beat the heat and have an amazing day with your best fren? Book pup a reservation on the Saturday Ice Cream Cruise for a ruvly hour of ice cream on the lake. Your canine captain can’t say no to tooling around Lake Union or dessert. Afterwards, keep the treat-yo-pup vibes going with a pint at Fremont Brewing Company, where dogs are welcome inside. With summer in full swing, you and your floof will ruv the AC! Itching for even more ways to chill? Check out these Seattle water activities.
