Norm’s, Seattle
Friday, July 1, 9:00 p.m.–12:30 a.m.
Your furry music-lover is ready to debut his rendition of “Hound Dog” at Norm’s this Friday. With the help of Sandra Dee Music, Norm’s is going to pump up the jams, serve up some bevvies and celebrate the end of another long work week.While you sign up for your go-to songs, pup can meet other doggos or grab a bite from Norm’s doggy menu. You don’t want to embarrass your rockstar rover, so start practicing your karaoke skills now.
Volunteer Park, Seattle
Saturday, July 2, 2–7 p.m.
The much-anticipated renovation to the Volunteer Park Amphitheater is finished, and it’s time to celebrate with a dance pawty. This FREE event will get tails waggin’ with music performances by The Not-Its!, Taiko Kai, Alec Shaw, Brittany Davis, and LeRoy Bell & His Only Friends. There’ll also be food trucks on-site servin’ up noms and helpin’ you refuel for more boogies.

There’ll be plenty of deals for your master bargain hunter to sniff out at the Pup Up Yard Sale hosted by Sunny Sky’s Rescue this Saturday and Sunday. They’ll have pawesome goodies like crates, beds, toys, bowls, clothes, collars, harnesses, and more, all fur a grrreat price. Best of all, the proceeds will go towards the medical needs of Sunny Sky’s rescue pets, so your lil’ fashion icon can pick out some new garb and feel good about supporting her fellow floofs.
Ballard Locks, Seattle
Saturday, July 2–Monday July 4, 2 p.m.; donations appreciated
Three days of concerts? Now that’s what your good boy calls a good time. On Saturday, set pup that picnic blanket and enjoy the musical stylings of the Kirkland Civic Orchestra. Nothing like an outdoor orchestra concert to inspire a butt wiggle and a snooze.
On Sunday, pack extra treatos for round two. Cascadia Big Band is a 17-piece community jazz band getting everypuppy in the swing of swing dancing. Pup’s signature spin and tail wag is bound to catch on with dancers of all abilities.
Lastly, celebrate a yappy Independence Day with the Seattle Civic Band on Monday. Your doggo is gonna work up a sweat dancing his paws off, so make sure to pack extra water! These concerts are FREE but donations are appreciated so dancin’ queens (and kings) can keep it up all summer long.
5. Pawfect Day with Pup
Sometimes the vibe is more 1-1 with your fur babe and less “crowded event” and we totally get that. If pup is lookin to spend some more quality time with ya, sniff out these ideas for a pawesome Seattle day:
- Start your day with a cup of coffee, a scone and a belly rub from a barista at La Copa Cafe where pup can come inside for a treat and some cuddles.
- Before the caffeine buzz wears off, walk the 7 minutes to Golden Gardens Park Off-Leash Area, an off-leash park perf for some zoomies, tree sniffin’, and fren makin’. With the Puget Sound in the background, it’s a great spot to snap a few pics for pup’s gram too.
- Keep the cardio going and walk the 15 minutes to The Yard Cafe for a bite on their doggo-friendly patio. Enjoy some fresh noms and a bevvie while pup snoozes away under the table—just be sure to drop a few fries for him.

Dog Gone Seattle
- Dog Gone Seattle is hosting the ultimutt adoption event where you can enjoy a cool drink on the patio and meet pups lookin’ for their furever homes. Head to The Lodge Sports Grille this Saturday, July 2, from 12–3 p.m. to meet some canine cuties for adoption. You can fill out an adoption application in advance if you are ready to take the doggo leap. Check out other adoptable pups on their website. Dog Gone does not do same-day adoptions; gotta bond a little first.
