PetsWALK, presented by Mud Bay, is a summertime celebration of our fave furry frens. Lace up your sneakers and leash up da pup to run the gentle, mostly flat 5K course with gorg water views. 5K not really your thing? They have a 1-mile option as well! Either way, you’ll be helping raise money for the Kitsap Humane Society. Stick around after the race for the vendors fair, as well as costume, talent, and butt wiggle contests at Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront Park. Your pooch has a real shot at that butt wiggle trophy, so go here for more info while pup practices.

Pup may not think getting microchipped is the most fun ever, but getting lost is yapsolutely zero fun. Sadly, more dogs go missing during July 4–6 than any other time of year, but luckily for Fido, Pawsitive Alliance (in partnership with Doney Coe Pet Clinic), is microchipping 100 dogs for FREE this Saturday. What a relief to know you’ll always be able to find your fur baby. Check their website to make sure you are income-qualified here.
