Renters with floofers know that when it comes to finding quality, pet-friendly housing—the puggle is real. Our pals over at Steven Scott Management know this struggle too and have come to the rescue with two properties that have got us waggin’ our tails. Sniff out what we, and more importantly Sidewalk Dog Alfie, had to bark about St. Paul’s Custom House apartments.
Located in a historic building in downtown St. Paul that served as the city’s main post office for 79 years, Custom House is elegant yet modern, luxurious yet charming. Can it be all of those things and love pets, too? Pup yeah, it can!
Amenities Galore
As you walk through the front doors, you and your fancy floof will feel like you stepped straight into a scene from “The Great Gatsby.” Between the lounge, the clubhouse, the game room, and the rooftop, you’ll have your pick of spots to hang out and relax in style with your sidekick. And that’s only scratching the surface of amenities—get a sniff of this list:
- Pool
- Spa
- Outdoor Kitchen
- Lawn Bowling
- Fire Pits
- Fitness Center
- Underground Heated Parking
- Craft Space/Bike Workshop
Dog-Friendly Deets
But what about the doggos? Not to worry, they’re lookin’ out for you too, frens. Best news first, there are NO BREED RESTRICTIONS. Don’t have time for a full w-a-l-k? There’s a furtastic fenced-in dog run for quick potty and/or zoomie breaks when you just need to destress for a bit. They also have a dog spa/wash station where you can wash the city streets off your paws (and help mahm keep her floors clean).
When you’re ready to explore, pup’ll be pawleased to know she doesn’t have to stay home. Less than a half mile from your doorstep is Lowertown Dog Park, located right next to CHS Field (we wouldn’t blame your bud for thinking those cheering noises are for her). Go a little bit further and down to the river and you’ll find High Bridge Dog Park that offers 7 full acres of open space for your lil’ explorer to investigate. Once you’ve worked pup an appetite, say oui to a patio spot at Meritage, a nearby French Brasserie. Or maybe you’re feelin’ a bit more casual? Chow down on an award-winning burger at The Pillbox Tavern while doggo sits pretty for pets from the floof-loving staff. One thing’s for sure—St. Paul’s Lowertown neighborhood ruvs your pup almost as much as you do.
Welcoming Woofers Home
With well-appointed units featuring modern design and pawmazing views of downtown St. Paul, who wouldn’t want to call Custom House home? Pup’s ready to sign her paw on the dotted line!
