Do-Rite Donuts
Do-Rite Donuts does it right. The Streeterville location has a great patio with plenty of shade so you can post up with pup and enjoy sweet treats like a cinnamon crunch donut or savory ones like their famed chicken sandwiches. Or go for the best of both worlds and get a chicken sandwich ON a donut. We’re already droolin’.
Beacon Donuts
Trust us when we say you need to sniff out the Beacon Donuts walk-up window, hidden in an alley off Armitage Ave. in Lincoln Park. Fuel up with vegan-friendly donuts and Dollop Coffee before staging a Insta-worthy photoshoot with your furbabe against Beacon’s vibrant murals. Beacon makes small batches of their tasty treats, so just be sure to order ahead.
Doughnut Vault
Founded in a tiny brick alcove, Doughnut Vault’s specialty is classic old-fashioned and glazed doughnuts, crafted by hand overnight and sold fresh each morning. Their River North location welcomes pooches with open paws on their patio and is quick to offer water dishes (and pets, duh).
BomboBar
Bar Siena’s side concept, BomboBar, is a walk-up window serving Bombolini (Italian-style doughnuts infused with creative flavors), gelato, coffee, and some of the best doggone hot chocolate in the West Loop. Even better, they have doggie donuts, woof-cream, and dairy-free gelato so you can both go nuts for donuts!
Smack Dab Bakery
Smack Dab Bakery is a unique breakfast and coffee concept, known for their life-changing biscuit sandwiches, incredible vegan donuts, and unbelievably charming staff. They make everything in the house so floofer can trust that any patio crumbs she finds are the real deal.
Stan’s Donuts & Coffee
Stan’s Donuts & Coffee has over a dozen locations in the Windy City, but we especially like the patios at Streeterville and Lakeview. Stan’s is serving up freshly made donuts that feature extraordinary flavors and textures. May we suggest the old-fashioned blueberry or the peanut butter pocket? We know somepuppy’s ears just perked pup at that last one.
Firecakes Donuts
At Firecakes, unique takes on classic donuts are just the beginning. Sure, you can dig into old-fashioned and/or sprinkled donuts, but you can also enjoy a revolutionary ice cream sandwich experience on their doggo-friendly patio. Just choose your “bread,” (a delectable donut or churro) and they’ll fill it with your favorite ice cream and toppings.
