Ok, sure, Telluride is famous for being an upscale mountain resort town, but wanna know our fave fact? It boasts a population with more dogs than people. Henlo, that sounds like our absolute dream come true. Dogs are totes better than people some days, amirite? Pooch-lovin’ Telluride welcomes doggos all throughout town in local businesses, on its bus system (the Galloping Goose), on the complimentary gondola to Mountain Village, and on its skijoring Nordic trails. Needless to woof, it’s well worth a visit. When you and your BFF are ready to get explorin’, we sniffed out 5 dog-friendly hotels in Telluride for everypup and every budget!

1. Mountainside Inn
Ballin’ on a budget? Mountainside Inn features recently renovated rooms, a central location, gorgeous views of the San Juan Mountains, and easy access to the Galloping Goose. Plus, the front desk ruvs to spoil dogs with treatos. Does pup prefer to chill in the room watching House Hunters reruns while you hit the slopes? No pawblem. Just make sure to tell the front desk.
Dog-friendly deets: Two pets of any size are welcomed (including feline frens) for a pet fee of $30 per night. Snaccs are available at the front desk and there’s an on-site pet relief area.
2. Hotel Telluride
For fancy fluffs looking for a luxury getaway, the Hotel Telluride provides a pawfect five-star option. Upon check-in, pooches are treated to a welcome bag of Telluride pet info and homemade organic pet treats and dog beds. Well-behaved woofs can be left unaccompanied in the room. Just be sure to let the front desk know and hang a “do not disturb” sign on the door.
Dog-friendly deets: Two dogs of any size are welcomed for an additional fee of $25 per pet, per night, with 10% of pet fees donated to Second Chance Humane Society. There’s also an on-site pet relief area.
3. Inn at Lost Creek
For an experience just as unique and amazing as your pup, head to The Inn at Lost Creek. This four-star luxury boop-tique hotel features 32 individually decorated suites, rooftop hot tubs, an on-site ski shop, and ski valet. Nestled slopeside on Sunset Plaza in Mountain Village, this hotel is the perfect ski-in/ski-out location and a short 13-minute gondola ride to town. Furry guests are pampered with treatos, bowls, and a cozy bed upon arrival.
Dog-friendly deets: Two dogs of any size are welcomed for a pet fee of $25 per pet, per night. There’s an on-site pet relief area, and a bellman is available to take dogs on walks if needed.
4. Mountain Lodge at Telluride
Lookin’ fur a classic mountain lodge with rustic charm and elegant touches? Mountain Lodge at Telluride is your spot! With a canine concierge, dog beds, and plenty of snaccs, your fluff will feel like a celeb. This upscale lodge features 1, 2, and 3 bedroom suites, or 3 and 4 bedroom cabins for a family vacay (or if pup just needs more room to roam). Bordered by two ski runs, and a forest of aspen and spruce trees, the location can’t be beat.
Dog-friendly deets: Two dogs of any size are welcomed for a pet fee of $50 per night for the first three nights. Please note, dogs may not be left unattended in their rooms, but the concierge can help book a pupsitter if necessary! There’s also a pet relief area.
5. Camel’s Garden Hotel
At the Camel’s Garden Hotel, your dog has plenty of room to play in the plaza and on the adjacent, stunning San Miguel River Trail. Hoomans will ruv the excellent location, along with the on-site ski rentals, full-service spa, and valet shop. Listen up, snowpups—it’s also the closest hotel to a ski-lift in the world.
