Fido thinks it’s time to break out of your bevvy rut. He gets it, tap water is great, but wouldn’t you prefer a cold cider with your v best fren? Pup has quite the refined palate, so we trust his judgment. Next time you’re droolin’ for a refreshment, sniff out our list of dog-friendly Seattle cideries.
Note: Please keep dogs on leash and clean up any messes they leave behind. Yappy cider sippin’!
1. Schilling Cider House
Schilling Cider House is the self-proclaimed pillar of Seattle’s cider community, and doggo’ll agree bc he’s more than welcome inside. This Fremont staple offers over 30 ciders on tap and 100s of bottled and canned options. So many flavors–how can you choose? Luckily they specialize in tasting flights so you only have to narrow it down to six. Don’t worry, Buddy’ll help you decide.
2. Locust Cider Taprooms
Pupper has heard the buzz about Locust Cider allowin’ dogs inside, and you should too. Choose from one of their five dog-friendly Seattle taprooms (Ballard, First Hill, Post Alley, Alki Beach, & Market Place). Since 2015, Locust Cider has been making Washington-apple cider with real ingredients and wild flavor combos that aren’t to be missed. Try the smoked blueberry cider, cuz pup is curious how ya smoke a blueberry.
3. The Woods – Seattle Cider Company
The Woods is a dog-friendly shared taproom featuring Seattle Cider Company and Two Beers Brewing, and serving up burgers and apps by Bread & Circuses. Fifi loves to see so many businesses working together, especially when it means over 30 ciders on tap and gnocchi tots. Pup’ll have a double.
4. Bale Breaker & Yonder Cider Taproom
Bale Breaker Brewing & Yonder Cider Taproom (BBYC) is another shared taproom where dogs are welcome and encouraged. With over a dozen Yonder ciders on tap and rotating food trucks, BBYC will become a fast fave. Fluff recommends sipping a warm Hot Cashmere cider v slowly so he can get lots of tummy rubs from the staff.
5. Republic of Cider
Republic of Cider is a woman/minority-owned Seattle cidery on a mission to build bridges between communities and flavors. This SODO spot offers ciders with flavors pulled from minority cultures prominent in the PNW. They start with fresh PNW apples and combine eclectic tastes you’ll never forget. We recommend the Monkey King, with Taiwanese winter melon, or the Sidra de los Muertos (Cider of the Dead), with roasted hatch chiles. Floof’ll enjoy people watching on their dog-friendly outdoor patio (sorry, no doggos indoors at this one), and maybe even snag a few admirers.
6. Brownrigg Hard Cider Taproom
Brownrigg Hard Cider has an intimate dog-friendly taproom run by owner and founder Chris Brownrigg. They have not only 12 ciders on tap, but two rotating cider slushies. Doggo has never heard of anything more refreshing, good thing he brought you here. This taproom also has the cutest mascot known to cider, the Pug Millie Bobby Brownrigg. Puppo’ll want to stop by to say henlo to Chris and Millie, and you’ll keep comin back for those v tasty small-batch ciders.
Pup is a big fan of being called adorable by every passerby, and hoomans love the tasty ciders, so he thinks you should hit the Seattle cideries more often.
