Going on a vacation in Cyprus was a dream-come-true for the Light family. Little did they know that an awesome trip would turn out to be the beginning of a friendship with a street dog.
At that time, the family was happily exploring Kouklia, a small village filled with sights to behold, when they ran into a thin Beagle mix. Without hesitations, the friendly dog opened up to the Light family.
His skinny and dirty body proved that he does not have an owner to take good care of him. He wagged his tail as he approached the Light family, and it was clear that he needed love and affection. Even though he seemed like a happy dog, his eyes spoke volumes. With his sweetness, the family could not understand how humans can afford to reject such an adorable dog.
They easily fell in love with the Beagle as soon as they saw him. Despite being skin and bones, he managed to stay positive by sharing his love with others. While he showed physical signs of neglect, the Light family also discovered that he had a serious ear injury. Since the family is an animal lover, they agreed to bring the dog home.
The first thing they did was to feed the puppy with a can of dog food. Nobody knew how long he was starving, so he needed food to keep going. The food was also a way for the Light family to lure the Beagle into the car. Seeing the Beagle gobble up the dog food was heartbreaking to the family, and it strengthened their decision to rescue him.
They did everything they could for the dog to have a better life. When they went back to the UK from their vacation, the Beagle knew that he was given a second chance at life. His transformation was truly inspiring, and it was because of the Light family’s love and compassion.
