1. Stella’s Coffee
You’d better fluffin’ believe there are free treats at Stella’s Coffee. This brightly-hued Pearl Street coffee shop features live music, art-for-sale-bedecked walls, and a spacious, shaded pup-pleasing patio. For being suchagoodboy while you scarfed down a piece of banana walnut bread and guzzled an iced matcha tea, treat your pup to a new toy (or two) at nearby pet shop The Whole Cat & Dogs Too.
2. Highlands Cork & Coffee
Whether doggo’s your early-morning coffee companion or your after-work bubbly buddy, dogs lounge on Highlands Cork & Coffee’s patio all puppin’ day. Afternoons are affectionately called “puppy hour” because of the amount of four-legged patrons. After you two finish your refreshments—complimentary water bowls and treats for your pup; panini and a cuppa for you—head on over to Biscotti Hound for homemade dog biscuits in flavors like coconut and pumpkin. 3. Wash Perk
After sniffin’ around Washington Park’s lakeside paths and flower gardens, wag over to Wash Perk (We can’t help but wonder if the name was inspired by Friends’ Central Perk). Pro tip: Try the honey cinnamon latte; it’s absolutely heavenly and might even make pup drool with envy.
4. Roostercat Coffee House
Despite it’s moniker, we promise this Cap Hill coffee shop is aces for doggos. In fact, they even have a dog run with water bowls and a poo station. Stay warm on the cozy patio by sitting near one of two fire pits, or enjoy the shade on a scorching hot day. Roostercat stays open until 8 p.m. ‘cuz sometimes you need an evening pick-me-up.
5. The Radiator Cafe & Bar
The Radiator Cafe & Bar is a fave Sunnyside neighborhood hang fur good reason. Open from the crack of dawn (7 a.m.) until 9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 p.m. on weekends, you can get Pablo’s Coffee and bagels with Fido in the morn’, then come back later for cocktails and snackies. Cozy up with your woof on their roomy outdoor patio, which is perfect for work, pleasure, or people watching.
6. Pablo’s Coffee
Do you and pup have highly refined tastes and turn your snouts up at the thought of your coffee beans roasted in dog knows where? Pablo’s Coffee boasts their own roasting facility and shop on East Colfax, along with two other locations in Cap Hill and Downtown. There’s no WiFi at the Cap Hill location, so bring a book and be pupared to gaze into your pup’s eyes longingly.
