This series is dedicated to local pups having a harder time finding their forever homes, whether it be due to age, physical impairments, or just needing a little extra attention. We could all use a friend rn, so we’re spreadin’ the woof about this special somepawdy.
Adopt Sally From The Rescue Crew
Name: Sally
Stats: 8-year-old, 70 lb Pitbull Mix
Location: Plymouth
Rescue: The Rescue Crew
Sidewalk Dog: What a cutie! Tell us all her deets.
The Rescue Crew: Sally is the absolute sweetest gal who brings a smile to every day and everything she does! When she goes for a walk she has a grin ear to ear, and loves getting all the sniffs.
SWD: As Taylor Swift says, she’s “got a smile that could light up this whole town.” What makes her smile?
TRC: Her favorite words are “car ride.” She’ll amble towards you when you say those magic words; perhaps we should start calling her Mustang Sally?
SWD: A girl after our own heart. What else does she like?
TRC: Walks, car rides, nap time–it’s the simple things. Sally snores loudly. She comes barreling to the door when she knows it’s walk time, and after a 60-minute walk, will dramatically drop to the floor panting with a huge smile and tongue out. This gal is happy to snuggle up on the couch and take a nap in the sunshine near her human.
SWD: We’ll lace up our walking shoes if it means a cuddle sesh with her. What are her special needs?
TRC: Sally has been with our rescue since February and without a foster since May. She’s a senior, which makes her forever family harder to find. She recently finished a 2-week reset with Follow Me Dogs, and now is a great walker and more engaged with her human(s).
SWD: So we know that her adopters should love a good walk; what else would her perfect home look like?
TRC: She gets along well with laid back, large dogs (no smol fries). She’s also not a match for cats due to her high prey drive. Sally has done well with middle schoolers or above, but has not been around young children.
