A few years ago I pulled together a list of my fave doxie gear, toys, and treats! I thought I’d do this again as my list looks a little different since my dogs are older and I’m a little wiser. My list also applies to our Beagle mix Shermie too.
I also have products for senior dogs too as both Walter and Shermie are 8 and 13-years-old.
This isn’t in any specific order but it’s a mix of human apparel and mainly doxie goodies.
Also, shop local! Our fave stores are Fang! Pet Supply & Garden Center, Salty’s Pet Supply and Three Paws Neighborhood Pet Supply. These are located in neighborhoods throughout Portland and you can find more here about the products they sell.

The raincoats these two have on are honestly the best design I’ve found and we’ve tried a lot of coats! This Supercoat is loose enough that they can run around and chase each other in the backyard and it doesn’t fall off. There is only one area you have to velcro together and it lasts forever. Hands down this brand designs the highest quality gear for doxies.
I’ve been having custom fuzzies made for the hounds for many years. These always fit perfectly and our Beagle Shermie also wears his proudly on colder days.
4. Interactive puzzle bowl for meals
Outward Hound fun feeders are what I use for the dogs for every meal. These are lifesavers.
5. Earth Animal No-Hide Chews
These are literally the only bone I give Walter and Sherm to chew on during the day. They’re easily digestible and both our dogs can rarely chew on anything without having diarrhea. “No-Hide chews are free of any animal hide, formaldehydes, bleaches, or chemicals. No hormones or steroids.”
I’ve been giving these to both dogs as they’re seniors and the formula is outstanding! IF you’re looking for a senior vitamin you will love what’s inside.
My dogs are naked or without their collars throughout the day. The only exception is this collar! I love these Martingale collars for when we’re out in the yard.
I love this as a topper for the dogs and I also use it as a Kong filler too for when they’re bored.
The plans are vet-developed by board-certified vet nutritionists. The ingredients are sourced from local farms, restaurant suppliers and HUMAN food purveyors. Check out what’s in the turkey meal plan.
TURKEY & PARSNIP RECIPE FOR DOGS
INGREDIENTS: Turkey, parsnips, chickpeas, carrot, broccoli, spinach, dicalcium phosphate, sea salt, fish oil, kelp, zinc gluconate, ferrous sulfate, vitamin E supplement, copper gluconate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, vitamin B12, cholecalciferol
When I learned they tested on humans and that the meals were made fresh (very fresh) and delivered I thought it was too good to be true. But it’s not. You select a meal plan after answering a meal plan questionnaire.
This is Bruiser our beautiful doxie that passed away earlier this year. I wanted to make sure there was a product that he loved included in this list. All seniors and doxies need ramps.
Supplements or toppers are our biggest priority during mealtime to ensure we have ‘fresh food’ as part of the overall diet for both Walt and Sherman. This is a veggie mash called Green JuJu and we are huge fans.
What are your faves? Happy holidays from our pack!
