At these Illinois distilleries, it’s no big deal if doggo has a hard time holdin’ his licker. We sniffed out the best dog-friendly distilleries in the state where folks’ll be overjoyed to see a good boy or girl knockin’ back some artisan waters (and maybe snacking on a few treats, too). Here are 5 of our favorite dog-friendly Illinois distilleries where pups can get in on the fun.
1. Rhine Hall
Kinzie Industrial Corridor’s family-run Rhine Hall Distillery offers fruit brandy in chic industrial digs Chicago pups’ll really vibe with. Well-behaved pups are welcome in the tasting room, and water is available for your designated doggo.
2. CH Distillery and Cocktail Bar
CH Distillery and Cocktail Bar triumphantly returned Jeppson to Chicago, establishing them as local heroes to anypawdy who ruvs a good Malört face. Doesn’t that fact alone make your fren wanna spend his hard earned bones there? He’s welcome to watch you enjoy inspired spirits and cocktails alongside simple, Cajun-inspired eats (while devouring water and TREATOS) on their dog-friendly patio!
3. Blaum Bros. Distilling Co.
Located in the heart of Galena, Blaum Bros. Distilling Co. produces hand-crafted spirits using the best grains available locally and beyond. Your bestie will be thrilled to chill with you on this historic distilling town’s favorite dog-friendly patio!
4. Whiskey Acres Distilling Co.
Tucked into a family farm, estate distillery Whiskey Acres believes great whiskey isn’t made; it’s grown. Located 60 miles west of Chicago, this Dekalb distillery specializes in inspired spirits with a special focus on harvesting and the farm’s generations-long heritage (even the limestone-filtered water comes from beneath the land). Pups are welcome in the small, intimate tasting room and on the patio; treats and water are available!
5. Copper Fiddle Distillery
Lake Zurich’s Copper Fiddle Distillery creates unique distilled craft spirits and artisan cocktails, often accompanied by live music! Pups are welcome in the tasting room where they can enjoy their own hand-crafted double water—shaken, not stirred.
