Pup’s ready to get the heck outta town for a bit, but you still gotta make the dough that affords him his fave treats. Ur doggo totally respects the grind, but thinks it’s time to trade that home pawffice for some new scenery. We sniffed out some dog-friendly workcations near Seattle that are sure to excite your furry branch manager.
Note: We verified these spots are dog-friendly, but as always, triple confirm before you book that res. Happy travels!
Psst, Our Patio Leash™ is the pawfect length for adventuring and sits on a cafe patio. Heck res!
1. Saltwater Farms
Hold all your Collies and head to Saltwater Farms in Friday Harbor for a fab workcation with Fido. A quick three hours from Seattle by car and ferry (dog-friendly ferry deets here), Saltwater Farms offers pup-friendly accommodations in their Stag’s Leap, Sea Breeze, Fox Hollow, and Dragonfly cottages, complete with Salish Sea views and high-speed fiber internet. Plus, no TV, so nothing to distract you from your BFF. The shared outdoor space includes a wrap-around sea view deck, grassy meadows, and a lavender field pup can frolic through on leash. Be sure to include the pet add-on when you book your stay, and let the relaxing (and working) begin!
Bonus: If the floofer is too distracting (dang, he’s cute!), there’s a doggy daycare 3 miles away at Animal Inn and Wellness Center. Just remember to bring Buddy’s proof of vaccination.
2. Chestnut Cottage
The Chestnut Cottage at Harpers Hill in Port Orchard is the pawfect place for pup to finish writing her memoir (and for you to take those meetings that could’ve been emails). This rrrustic writer’s retreat is only 30 minutes from Seattle by ferry and welcomes your floof for a $45 fee. Just let them know you’re bringing Rover along when you book your res. The reviews rave about the secluded property and super fast internet. Pooch is gonna rave over a long snooze in front of the wood fireplace.
3. The Cedarbrook
Everypuppy is here for pooch paradise, and that’s what they pawmise at the Cedarbrook in SeaTac, just 15 minutes from Seattle and right by the airport. Sure there is free WiFi and space for you to work, but more importantly, there’s the puppy package that comes with a Cedarbrook dog tag, treats, a portable bowl, and more. Every dog-friendly room is on the ground floor with easy access to outside for potty and playtime, so there’s no excuse not to take a break and a (leashed) walk around the property’s paths. A pupper could get used to a workweek like this.
4. Lighthouse Oceanfront Resort
The most dog-friendly resort in Long Beach is beggin’ to meet your hard borkin’ doggo. Three short hours of pup’s head out the window later, Lighthouse Oceanfront Resort is a grrreat spot to set up work and enjoy some beach time. Each suite or cottage includes a kitchenette, semi-private deck, and free high-speed internet. Have a large pack? There are suites that sleep up to six hoomans and three puppers. Do your best not to get distracted by the panoramic ocean views. Or do…puppo would ruv a beach walk!
5. Outlook Inn
The most popular place to stay on Orcas Island is ‘bout to get more pupular when your lil’ princess graces them with her presence. Head straight up I-5 for three hours and sniff out the Outlook Inn for your next dog-friendly workcation. Well-behaved woofers are welcome in the Water’s Edge and Bay View suites, and both come with free high-speed WiFi, a desk, fireplace, and balcony. One pup is allowed per room and must be on leash when cruisin’ the property. Pup’ll make sure you take a long lunch to explore Sara’s Garden—a full acre of flowers, trees, and a pond.
