Milk Bones from the grocery store? Come on. Your royal ruffer deserves handmade delicacies specifically whipped up for their species. Before you scoff, yes, dog bakeries not only exist, but THRIVE here in the greater Seattle area. Sniff out some of our faves and make your cupcake’s day.
1. Seattle Barkery
Perhaps the most notable of the local dog bakeries, the Seattle Barkery has multiple locations (a Treat Trailer, Treat Truck, Treat Shop, and Treat Bar). This barkery is especially known for its adorable dog birthday cakes and fresh baked treats, but savory fans can also grab a couple chicken feet for later. With so many locations and goodies to choose from, pup can sample something new every day.
2. Puddles Barkery
“It’s all about the dogs” is the Puddles motto, and DANG if we can’t relate to that! Puddles Barkery makes natural dog treats right here in Seattle, but also ships around the country so frens near and far can enjoy these noms. Pro tip: their sampler pack makes the perfect gift for your dog-loving friends. Pup can find Puddles’ treats at loads of Seattle locations and even a few farmers markets. Sniff out Puddles’ retailer list, events page, and our dog-friendly farmers market list to plan the pawfect outing.
3. Downtown Dog Lounge Bakery
A barkery for them, and a bakery for you! Win-win, if you ask us. Downtown Dog Lounge Bakery is open 7 days a week; grab a fresh baked treat for your hunny and a latte for yourself. Located inside the popular doggy daycare center, the DDL Bakery even hosts playdates and meetups if your floof is in need of some canine interaction. Online ordering is also available.
4. The Dining Dog
This one goes out to all those diehard pup-parents, for whom one (albeit homemade) treat isn’t enough. Lynnwood’s Dining Dog is dedicated to giving dogs the “Royal Treatment”—a four-course meal that includes a doggie cocktail, appetizer tray, entree, and choice from the dessert cart. No, we’re not kidding. Their goal is to “provide all doggies a unique dining experience.” Sounds like they’ve nailed it. Parties are held on Saturdays only, and rezzies are mandatory. Give the owner a call at 425-314-4612 to book Princess’ pawty.
